Changeling

Hello, I'm May.
We watch a movie called Changeling.
It's a drama film based on real life event.
I am awared of the political corruption, the problem of kidnapping, and murder case.
I think the city authorities should be punished for abusing their power.
The hospital is don't have kindness.
I wish the missing son will come back.
Although the film play by Angelina Jolie, she is too sad, I don't like that.
Thank you.

Changleing

A single mother returns from work to find her nine-year-old son gone. She calls the police to search. Five months later, a boy is found in Illinois who fits the description; he says he's her son. To fanfare and photos, the police reunite mother and son, but she insists he's not her boy. The cops dismiss her as either a liar.
From this movie we can see a mother's
love for her children . even though she did not find her’s son.

I really think this a great movie, after I saw it. The movie is talking about a mother trying to find his son which is based on a real story on 1928. It is very touching, and I think the best part is the ending. It not only gave Christine a hope, but also left a little imagination for me as a audience. Christine earns herself a hope by not giving up find her child. If I were her, I would also do my best to find my child. I believe that is what every mother would do for their children.

I think nothing can exceed the parents' love. Evan it is possible that Walter was killed, his mother never give up. She also harbors the help. This movie tells us that no matter how cruel of the condition we shouldn’t give up. I detect that believe can be a power, so Walter’s mother continued to find his son. I admire for her willpower very much. I think it is the most meaningful movie of the world.

changeling

If I am Walter, I want to be with my mother. No matters the police will catch me, I want come home and live with my mother. This movie had something can’t be understood. Why the killer said Walter was an angle? If Walter was live, why he didn’t look for his mother? When the end of the movie, I was shocked that the police was so corrupt. They lied to people for their power and face, and jailed women just because they make police shame. Christine, Walter’s mother, face the big and corrupt police system along. I am so worship her courage, and so proud of her. This is my reflection on CHANGELING

Changeling is a 2008 American drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by J. Michael Straczynski. Based on real life events in 1928 Los Angeles, the film stars Angelina Jolie as a woman who is reunited with her missing son—only to realize he is an impostor. After she confronts the city authorities they vilify her as an unfit mother and brand her delusional. The dramatized incident was connected to the "Wineville Chicken Coop" kidnapping and murder case. Changeling explores female disempowerment, political corruption, child endangerment and the repercussions of violence.

After hearing about the case from a contact at Los Angeles City Hall, Straczynski spent a year researching the historical record, which he said shaped 95% of the script. The shooting script was Straczynski's first draft and his first produced film screenplay. Several actors campaigned for the lead; Eastwood cast Jolie partly because he felt her face fit the period setting. Most of the characters were based on real life people, while some were composites. Filming of this movie took place in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California. Eastwood's low-key direction led actors and crew to note the calmness of the set and the short working days. In post-production, scenes were supplemented with computer-generated skylines, backgrounds, vehicles and people.

Although this movie does not have a happy ending, still I am deeply touched by the mother who used every effort and never gave up hopes of finding her son. I am thankful to the classmate who suggested this film, so we have the opportunity to see such a wonderful movie.

On a Saturday morning in a working-class suburb, Christine said goodbye to her son,
Walter, and left for work. When she came home, she discovered he had vanished. A fruitless search ensues, and months later, a boy claiming to be the nine-year-old is
returned. But she realizes this child is not hers. As she pushes authorities to keep looking, she learns that in Prohibition-ear LA, women don’t challenge the system and live to tell their story.
Christine is a resolute female. Face the corrupt police system, she suffer much cruel treatment from police. But she never yield. she struggle with police for her son and rightfulness. I admire her resolute, she is worthy of our leaning.

CHANGELING
Thanks for my English teacher to give me a experience to watch the good movie---“Changeling”.
The movie is talking about a single mother, Christine Collins, who was looking for her missing son---Walter. She asked to the police for help. Several months, the mother reunited with her missing son—only to realize he is an impostor.
The “Walter” is shorter than before.
Walter’s teacher and dentist give Christine signed letters confirming ”Walter” is an impostor. Christine tells her story to the press. The police said Christine is an unfit mother and brand her delusional that sent her to psychopathic hospital. After, the kidnapping and murder case has been winded up. Christine was released. Christine didn’t believe her son was death until she fond the corpse. Christine didn’t fond her son before when she went to the paradise.

“Changeling” explores female unequal right, political corruption, child dangers and the repercussions of violence. The movie is touch my mind. In the movie, I saw the big mother love and a big faith. Christine fond her son very anxious and never give up. “Changeling” give me a lot of thinking. It tell us never give up easily.

I’m going to talk about the most important activity we have in our ballroom dancing club, and that is the annual show. The show was held on May 23, about two weeks ago. The whole process lasted for about three hours from six to nine. There are performances from the seniors, the professional dancers, the graduates and of course, us, the juniors. We had been practicing cha cha, rumba and paso early before the winter vacation. It took a lot of time, energy and practice to make everything in order. Nevertheless, we had a great time practicing the choreography despite the fact that we always got exhausted at the end of every practice, because every one enjoys dancing together as a member of the ballroom dancing club, and being a part of the show had made us feel more like a big family. Moreover, the show is not just a show. It represents the period when the seniors pass on their duties to the juniors. Namely, it’s also the fare-well show of the seniors. A new leader will be chosen and a new schedule will soon be planted for the up coming semester, and then the juniors, including me, will be in charge of recruiting new blood so that the ballroom dancing club will pass on forever. It’s been a year since I joined in ballroom dancing club and I believe that I will stay here as long as I’m still a student in Fu Jen because I learned not only dances but also made many friends.

Sorry for that I forgot what our video's subject. This video is about the club I joined, ballroom dancing club. Hope you like it.

The Changeling - Lee Sin Ying

Hello, everybody. Today I want to introduce a very interesting movie—The Changeling. This movie is about a single parent – Christine Collins whose son, Walter is missing from her home. She called the police to initiate a search. Five months later, a boy is found but he is an impostor. When Collins continued to complain, she finds herself arrested and confined to the mental ward. In the end of the movie, her son cannot be found but Collins has learned what hope is.
This movie is touched my heart. Every time Collins cried and said “he’s not my son.” I am very sad; she must be very disappointed because she never accompanied her son.
Psychology is my major. I can find a phenomenon in the mental ward. Collins’ friends said, “The more you try to act sane, the crazier you start to look, if you smile too much, you’re delusional or you’re stifling hysteria, and if you don’t smile, you’re depressed. If you remain neutral, you’re emotionally withdrawn, potentially catatonic.” Actually, this is a kind of stereotyping. Stereotyping must be changed in this century.
In conclusion, I like this movie so much. I wish all of my friends can watch this movie.

Hypnotism

Hi everybody I am cliff. Welcome to the hypnotism world. I have three point to introduce.

1. Hypnotism is a process or approach of changing an individual’s conscious mental state from conscious to unconscious. In other words, it is a means by which we can retrieve information from the unconscious directly while the individual is still conscious.
2. Being hypnotized is different from dreaming. Hypnotism allows the contents of the unconscious to be accessed directly, while dreams show the contents through representation.
3. Although hypnotism collects raw data, it isn’t always accurate. This is because the process of hypnotism can be disturbed by the conscious mind.

John King Fairbank

(Sorry....it long time to po this homework .)
Hello welcome the historiographer explores the channel, is a mighty current history likely.
This time I must to everybody introduction ,a US history scholar studies the Chinese history.
Fairbank was born in Huron, South Dakota on 24 May 1907.He was educated at Sioux Falls High School, Phillips Exeter Academy, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Harvard College, and Oxford University (Balliol). In 1929, when he graduated from Harvard summa cum laude, he went to Oxford as a Rhodes scholar in order to study British imperial history.

He returned to Harvard in 1936 to take up a position teaching Chinese history, the first full time specialist on that subject. He and Edwin O. Reischauer worked out a year long introductory survey which covered China and Japan, and later Korea and Southeast Asia. The course was known as "Rice Paddies," and became the basis for the influential texts, East Asia: The Great Tradition (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1960) and East Asia: The Modern Transformation (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1965).
Following the outbreak of the Pacific War in 1941, Fairbank was enlisted to work for the US government, which included service in the OSS and the Office of War Information in Chongqing, the temporary capital of Nationalist China. There, like most foreign observers, he witnessed the corruption of the government headed by Chiang Kai-shek, which left a deeply negative impression of the Kuomintang. When he returned to Harvard after the war, he inaugurated a Master's Degree program in Area Studies. The Area Studies approach was multi-disciplinary and aimed to train journalists, government officials, and others who did not want careers in academia. This broad approach, combined with Fairbank's experience in China during the war, shaped his United States and China (Cambridge, MA: Harvard University Press, Foreign Policy Library, 1948). This survey went through new editions in 1958 and 1970, each synthesizing scholarship in the field for students and the general public. In 1972, in preparation for Nixon's visit, the book was read by leaders on both sides.

Intelligence ~Wendy

Hello everyone, welcome to “The Intelligence Program“. I am your hostess Wendy. Almost everyone has heard of IQ and EQ and most have taken IQ tests. However, a person’s intelligence is more than just IQ and EQ. Today on “The Intelligence Program”, we will learn about what modern psychologists now believe about intelligence.
First of all, a person’s IQ is his or her ability to solve problems well, understand and learn complex material, and also the ability to adapt to environments. Psychologists have designed many examinations to measure it. Everyone has a different rank, or “IQ”, which is short for “Intelligence Quotient”.
The next component of our intelligence is our “EQ”, or “Emotional Quotient”. It is the ability to understand and regulate emotions effectively. Our EQ helps us to be conscious of ourselves and others. EQ involves intelligence, subjective experiences and inclinations. According to psychologist Daniel Goleman, our EQ is the basic condition to effective utilization of our IQ.
The last part of our intelligence is called our “Spiritual Quotient” or "SQ". Computers can have IQ, and many advanced mammals have EQ, but our SQ is what makes us humans. It is our ability to have faith, dream, believe, and pursue values with actions. It shapes who we are, and what we do.
Psychologists now believe that IQ, EQ, SQ are the three components of human intelligence.
Do you think that intelligence influences humanity? What’s the relationship between the two? To find out, tune in to “The Intelligence Program” the same time next week.

Hello, everybody. Welcome to the “sleepwalking” program. my name is Zoe. I am the host tonight. Today, we talk about sleepwalking. It is very common in childhood, it is not common in adult life. Fewer than one in two hundred adults are sleepwalkers. Sleepwalking children don’t seem to be in any distress, or in any great hurry. Though they often give the impression they are looking for something, they’re usually not cry out. If they do speak at all, they articulate poorly and the words are often out of sequence. Thank you for your watching. And if you have any question to today's report you can sent mail to satan0527@livemail.tw.

Intelligence

Hello everybody, welcome to “Intelligence program“ I am hostess Wendy. You must know what is IQ, have taked IQ test. You was heard about EQ. But someone’s intelligence is not only decided by that. Today, that me introduce intelligence to you.

In the early part of 20 century, Psychology discover the way to exam IQ, IQ has become a significant subject. IQ is the ability to solve problems well and to understand and learn complex material. A key aspect of IQ is the ability to adapt to the environment. The humanity devotes with the ponder or the rationality to solve in many logical problems. Aristoteles said the human is “the rational animal”, also because of IQ. Psychologists design many examinations to measure it. For eaxsample, the Binet-Simon Intelligence Scale, the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales and the Wechsler Scales. By these examinations, Humanity's intelligence is separated to the different rank. We call that “Intelligence Quotient” or IQ. According to this theory, the higher IQ people have, the higher ability people have.
In the middle stage of 1990, Daniel Goleman popularize the “Emotional Intelligence”, is also EQ. Daniel Goleman thought that EQ’s importance is equal to IQ and it involves in intelligence. It involves in subjective experiences and inclinations. EQ is the ability to understand and regulate emotions effectively. EQ make someone conscious of self and other’s sense. According to Daniel Goleman said, EQ is the basic condition to effective utilization of IQ. For example, if the brain control the part which we felt are spoiled, we will become no effectiveness.
In 2000, from psychology, neurology, anthropology and cognitive science research, that has enough evidence to prove the third kind of Q, it is “Spiritual Quotient” , is also SQ. Doesn’t like IQ, that is a ability which computer has. Doesn’t like EQ, that is a ability which only exists in avdvanced mammals. SQ is only exists in humans. Danah Zohar and Ian Marshall announce that the SQ is the most basic ability of three. It linds to the significance that humanity demand. In the new century, this is the mose important subject that human should face. SQ is a ability which we develop our signigicance and viewpoint , puursue the value. It lets us have the dream and take an acrion. It exists in somethin which we believe in. it is a role who change ours faith and the value into motion. It let us accept and revise our life.
Therefore,IQ,EQ,SQ is called the three stages of humanity evolution.

Do you thinks the intelligence to the humanity influence only then like this? Do you want to have more understand to intelligent and humanity's relations? Then, next week please continue to watch “Intelligence program

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello everyone, welcome to “The Intelligence Program“.
